Overview
An event branding project for the return of EDM artist, Said the Sky in Hawai‘i. The primary audience are overcomers, free-spirited, silent warriors who seek a non-judgmental immersive environment to let loose through music.
challenge
Personally being unfamiliar with EDM events was the challenge for me. However, branching outside of my comfort zone into creating edgy grpahics and the challenge of executing the appropriate feel of the artist is what drawn me into doing this project.
solution
I immersed myself in research; I watched videos, spoke with people who has experienced EDM concerts, and listened to the music until I felt like a “professional concert goer”. It was important that I created graphics that balanced the vibrant, captivating, yet “hang loose” demeanor of Said the Sky and the event. Through rounds of drafting and refining I created a poster, ticket, and tents that are inspired by the tropic skies of Hawai‘i.

Said The Sky captures everything beautiful in what people know as EDM. He is back hosting an exhilarating EDM set in the paradise of Hawai‘i. A blend of soaring melodies and emotive bass lines, this event provides a captivating safe space to hang loose under the tropic skies of Hawai‘i.
